Global Warming

First of all, let us give thanks to Allah SWT because of His mercy, we can all gather here at this event. Blessings and our prayers will be said to our greatest prophet, Muhammad SAW, his family, his friends, and all his followers. Amien!

         >   I want to tell about global warming

Global warming is one of the most serious challenges we face today. To protect the health and economic well-being of present and future generations, we must reduce our emissions of heat-trapping gases by using the technology, know-how, and practical solutions we already have.

Tropical deforestation is the largest source of emissions for developing countries, but slowing deforestation can not solve the climate problem by itself. As a forest-rich developing countries to step in to take responsibility for reducing their emissions, all industrialized countries not only support their efforts but, most important, reduce their own emissions and lead the effort to prevent dangerous climate change.

Over the years we have heard a lot about the causes of climate change, that we have missed the fact that there are simple, practical solutions that can slow this growing problem. The current technology can cut emissions of heat trapping gases and make a real difference in the health of our planet. And this solution will be good for our economy, reduce our dependence on foreign oil, and enhance our energy security.

Global warming is not only convenient day of February in the northern climes. It also means increasingly hot days in summer, and a number of negative impacts already underway and is expected to intensify in
coming decades.

-More heat waves may increase the risk of heat-related illness and death.

-Cities and towns along the nation's major rivers will experience more severe and frequent flooding.

-Some areas may experience more widespread and prolonged drought.

-Some areas of our favorite holidays and coastal lowlands, as part of the Florida Keys and Cape Cod, will be much more appealing as sea levels rise, dunes erode, and the area becomes more vulnerable to coastal storms.

-Many families and businesses, who have made a living from fishing, agriculture, and tourism could lose their livelihoods, and others who like hunting, boating, skiing, birdwatching, and just relaxing near lakes, rivers, and wetlands will see some of their favorite places irretrievably changed.

Solutions to climate change here and it's time we put them to use. If we start today we can overcome this problem and reduce the unpleasant result that awaits us if we do nothing. The steps we need to take common sense. And, more often than not, they will save consumers money. The cost of not acting, however, is very high.

Scientific consensus enter Our planet is warming, and we help make it happen by adding more heat trapping gases, mainly carbon dioxide (CO2), into the atmosphere. The burning of fossil fuels (oil, coal and natural gas) alone accounts for about 75 percent of annual CO2 emissions from human activity. Deforestation-cutting and burning of forests that trap and store carbon-accounts for about 20 percent longer.

The delay is not an option. Scientists agree that if we wait 10, 20, or 50 years, the problem would be much more difficult to address and the consequences for us will become a much more serious.

We're treating our atmosphere like we once did our rivers. We used to dump waste thoughtlessly into our waterways, believing that they are limitless in their capacity to hold garbage. But when entire fisheries were poisoned and rivers began to burn, we realized what a terrible mistake.

Our atmosphere has limits too. CO2 remains in the atmosphere for about 100 years. The longer we keep polluting, the longer time required to recover and the more permanent damage will be done.

Fuel-efficient vehicles. Renewable energy. Protecting threatened forests. Common sense solutions will not only reduce global warming, many people will save us money and create new business opportunities.

Best of all, this is no solution now. We just need to insist that businesses and governments to take steps necessary to make them available and affordable. Then we have to let consumers know what to do and provide incentives to help us all make better choices.
